Elstor has won the first Environmental Award in South Karelia. There were dozens of different applications in the competition, and the prize was awarded to the two best. The aim of the Environmental Award is to highlight the many different actions in our region that promote the green transition.
The award was presented to the winners at the Lappeenranta City Open Doors and Greenreality Carnival on 29th August 2024, and was received by Elstor’s Technology Manager Aleksi Porkola and Product Development Engineer Mikko Tielinen.
According to Mika Peltonen, chairman of the jury, the jury was very satisfied with the number of applications and especially their content. They wanted to share the prize between two different, but strong and progressive operators.
− Elstor Oy is a good example of a South Karelia-based company focusing on environmental technology. The company’s solution replaces fossil fuels in industrial operations.
