The storage capacity, charging capacity, and discharge capacity of the Elstor energy storage system remain unchanged year after year. The storage material does not degrade over its decades-long service life.

Controlled charging and discharging

The charging and discharging processes of the Elstor system can be monitored and controlled remotely. The system’s operation is automated and integrated into the customer’s process.

Efficient storage with low heat losses.

Insulated energy storage minimizes heat losses during the storage phase.

High discharge power and efficiency

An efficiency of up to 97% can be achieved in electric-to-heat conversion. Thanks to its dense storage material and efficient heat transfer, the Elstor energy storage system is capable of high discharge capacities.

Modular and movable

Our system is built from 5 MWh storage elements. The structure is fixed, but can be relocated if needed.

Real-time system monitoring and autonomous optimization

Our entire process can be monitored remotely in real time. The storage system charges autonomously during the lowest-priced hours of the day, while discharge is automatically controlled according to the customer’s needs.

Our technology is versatile and suitable for various processes.

With a 20 MWh Elstor unit, it is possible to efficiently cover an annual heat demand of up to 10 000 MWh. Technically, the device is capable of even higher consumption, but the benefits of optimization decrease as the consumption becomes excessive.

The payback period is calculated by comparing Elstor operating costs to the current heat production method, and therefore, the estimate varies depending on the specific case. Electricity and previous fuel prices vary by location.

The carbon footprint of the device’s manufacturing has been calculated, and it is offset within approximately 6 months of the device’s use.
